Hospitality refers to the relationship between a guest and a host, wherein the host receives the guest with goodwill, including the reception and entertainment of guests, visitors, or strangers.
Louis, chevalier de Jaucourt describes hospitality in the Encyclopédie as the virtue of a great soul that cares for the whole universe through the ties of humanity.

1. How to have a hospitable evening: 1. Invite family & friends over.   2. Have a smorgasburg of food or potluck to make it easier on yourself.  3. Create ambience with candles. 4. Have background music. (My favorite Pandora stations, Johnnyswim and Stevie Wonder)  5. As the host, you set the tone. So make sure to let loose and have fun.
